KITARO NEW ALBUM AVAILABLE AT DOMO STORE: "Impressions Of The West Lake" is a modern day opera conceived and directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Zhang Yimou (Hero, Curse of the Golden Flower), the visionary artist behind the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The production is highlighted by music composed by the Grammy and Golden Globe Award winning artist Kitaro. This pairing of East-meets-West is a rare combination of two artists at the peak of their creative talents. The opera also marks a reunion for Kitaro and music arranger Randy Miller, the pair's first effort together since the Golden Globe-winning soundtrack to Oliver Stone’s 1993 film Heaven and Earth. STEVE VAI / ALIEN GUITAR SECRETS COMING TO ISRAEL: Steve Vai will be in Israel for a guitar master class on June 30th, 2009 at the Culture Palace in Tel Aviv. MESHUGGAH FORCED TO CANCEL UPCOMING SHOWS: Here is the following update sent by the band: "We’re VERY, VERY sorry to have to bring you these news, but we have to cancel the upcoming Scandinavian dates! Tomas [Haake] has had some back-related problems lately, problems that have been messing with his right foot/leg when playing drums. Tomas had an MRI about a week ago and the results came back early this week. Seems he has a herniated disc in his lower back and this is what’s been causing problems for him when playing." Tomas will undergo surgery as soon as possible and the band is hoping to be back for their Summer shows.
