NEW DREAM THEATER ALBUM: Progressive metal veterans DREAM THEATER have announced BLACK CLOUDS & SILVER LININGS as the title of their tenth studio album. The band commenced work on the album – their second for Roadrunner Records, following up 2007's Systematic Chaos — in October of last year. Roadrunner will release the record on June 23rd. In addition to the standard version CD, the album will also be available on vinyl LP, as well as a 3-disc Special Edition CD that will include the full album, a CD of instrumental mixes of the album and a CD of six cover songs, the titles of which will be revealed at a later date. OVERHEAD TO RELEASE A LIVE DVD: Metal Mind Productions is releasing a live DVD by the Finnish progressive rock band Overhead. The DVD entitled "Live After All" features the band's performance at the Progrock 2009 festival, which took place in mid February at Wyspiaski Theater in Katowice, Poland. The DVD will be released by Metal Mind Productions in early July. The performance features a selection of songs from the band's latest two albums. The bonus material also features live recordings from France, Belgium and Finland filmed between 2007 and 2008, an interview with the singer Alex Keskitalo and much more. SHAWN PHILLIPS USA AND CANADA DATES FOR 2009: Shawn Phillips is coming back to USA and Canada again this year. If you did not have the chance to catch him last year at one of his North American shows, you will have another chance. Shawn started his 2009 tour on February 6th in south Africa where he currently resides. The North American shows will take off on May 4th 2009, in Minneapolis, MN.

OPETH CANCELS TEL AVIV SHOW: The band says: "It is with deep regret that Opeth have had to cancel their show in Tel Aviv, Israel due to the fact that it became logistically impossible to deliver gear and backline to Israel and have it clear customs in time for the show. The band hopes to be able to play in Israel later in the year when their schedule is less heavy time wise, allowing sufficient time for freighting necessary equipment.

iCON 3 STUDIO ALBUM RELEASE DATE: Geoff Downes and john Wetton are releasing the iCON 3 studio album on March 13th, 2009. But the fans who attended the St. Mary-le-Bow show will receive their copies before that. The copies will be in UK on the 6th of March and will be shipped out to the fans who put their names on the list at that show, the very same day.
